Mobilize the Immigrant Vote (MIV) convenes multiracial, intergenerational alliances to build the voting power of low income immigrants, refugees, and young people of color across California, so together we can make change and improve living conditions. Our core organizing principles are culture, racial justice, and gender justice. We build the capacity of community-based partner organizations to educate and mobilize their constituents to vote; we link these efforts with ongoing community organizing; we develop models for collaboration; and we deliver electoral and policy wins. In 2017, we are on track to contact 85,000 immigrants, refugees, and young voters of color in 13 languages, scale to 150,000 in 2018 and 200,000 by 2020. Mobilize the Immigrant Vote is a 501(c)3 nonpartisan charitable organization and is affiliated with the MIV Action Fund, a 501(c)4. To anchor our growth and deepen the collective impact of our partners, MIV is hiring an IT & Collaboration Systems Manager and a Finance & Operations Specialist!


IT & Collaboration Systems Manager — Oakland, CA

The IT & Collaboration Systems Manager is responsible for planning, strategy, maintenance, and effective usage of technology and information systems at MIV. Reporting to the Associate Director, the IT & Collaboration Systems Manager will lead on tech in a time of organizational growth and systems development. This role is key to MIV’s growing staff’s successful collaboration across multiple offices and out in the field. The ideal candidate will bring a strong vision for how technology and information systems enable program and organizational effectiveness, and a passion for both designing organizational process and supporting your co-workers in adopting new systems. 1) Determine the organization's technology and information tools, processes, and shared agreements

Finance & Operations Specialist — Oakland, CA

The Finance and Operations Specialist (FOS) runs the organization’s internal finance and administrative systems to ensure full legal compliance with state and federal tax and election regulations, with strong internal controls, user-friendly and up-to-date documentation, and timely reporting. This position also ensures that all staff and close partner organizations have the finance-related tools they need, as well as providing on/off- boarding, benefits administration, and performance evaluations coordination for employees. Financial Management

1) Runs accounting system, including but not limited to accounts payable, company credit cards, payroll, accounts receivable, and grants schedule; manages and reviews the work of the contract bookkeeper

2) Coordinates the compilation of organizational budgets, supplying staff with the data and tools to track expenses for specific program budgets as needed

3) Manages all bank accounts, handling all related communications and paperwork

4) Monitors cash flow and operating reserves, reporting on cash flow when necessary
