MIV Alliance

The MIV Alliance builds the electoral power of New American communities in California by moving aligned organizations together as one, to expand the voter base of immigrants, refugees, and young people of color.

Strategy Council

The statewide Strategy Council makes key campaign and program decisions, and contributes to MIV's strategic thinking. 2017 Strategy Council members include Chinese Progressive Association (CPA); CHIRLA - Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights; Filipino Advocates for Justice (FAJ); Korean Resource Center (KRC); and Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans (PANA).

Each Strategy Council member is a coalition or coalition-convener working directly with, and accountable to grassroots immigrants, refugees, and communities of color. Click on each Strategy Council member’s logo to learn more about their work.

Partners and Affiliates

The success of MIV's campaigns is due to our partnerships with community-based organizations working to improve the lives of immigrants, refugees and young people of color.

Through repeated touches and coordinated statewide non-partisan civic engagement activities, together, we mobilize hard-to-reach constituents to vote.

Since 2010 we have completed 10 statewide civic engagement campaigns involving 200+ CBOs and reached over 670,000 Latinx, Asian, and Black African communities via 1:1 live voter contact and education.
